Iron Shannon

Jack Pewitt
This sculpture is an expression of care and giving, naturally I named it after my mother. It is composed almost entirely from scrap salvaged or bought in Austin and took a couple of months to create. Funny thing about it is when I was finished making it you couldn’t wheel it out of the shop because it was too tall. But that’s really what art is about, pushing yourself to create something great from nothing, it is in a way our closest thing to divinity.
