The Cloud: The Cycle of Water is the Cycle of Life

Bob Jones and his wife live on a hilltop in the hills west of Austin. On a hilltop one is literally a part of the sky. One afternoon a really turbulent distant cloud with its own rainstorm was moving through the area. It was a cumulonimbus or storm cloud, huge and alone but fierce. That afternoon storm was so memorable it inspired the creation of this sculpture. This piece is an interpretation in symbolic and abstract terms of that cloud. The circular transparent element at the top represents a storm cycle while the curvilinear wooden elements suggests the rhythm and power of flowing water.
